The Deskar TNMG 160404-CQ LF9218 is a popular indexable carbide turning insert widely used in CNC machining for turning and profiling operations.
Key Engineering Highlights:
- Geometry / Format: ISO TNMG − triangular insert (60° included angle), negative-rake design. Size code 1604 means ~16.0 mm inscribed circle, 04 nose radius etc. The “CQ” chipbreaker type gives a balanced combination of sharp cutting, chip control & durability.
- Grade: LF9218 — Deskar’s double-coated carbide grade, especially for steel & stainless steel applications. It provides high hardness, thermal stability & wear resistance.
